This article outlines how to integrate Gong with Yoodli so you can bring in calls and apply your custom goals for scoring.

Prerequisites

  • You must be a Gong Technical Administrator

  • You must be a Yoodli Organization Admin

1. Navigate to Integrations

  • Go to Org Settings > Integrations (Manage)

  • Click Create an integration > Gong integration

2. Connect to Gong

  • Click Connect to Gong

  • Log in with a Gong Technical Administrator account

    • Non-admins may be able to log in, but the integration will not work

3. Set Up Rules

Rules determine which calls are imported from Gong and how they are scored in Yoodli.

You can define rules based on:

  • Call title

    • Works as a "contains" condition (e.g. calls with "weekly" anywhere in the title). Not case-sensitive. If you add multiple keywords, a call is included when any one matches (ANY condition, like Trackers).

  • Call duration

    • Choose min and max call length (e.g. 0–90 minutes, or unlimited)

  • Trackers

    • Gong trackers (keywords Gong detects during calls)

    • Smart Trackers that are set up through Gong use AI to find if the topic is present in the call.

    • Works as an ANY condition, if one matches, the call is included

  • Groups

    • Restrict imported calls to specific Yoodli groups

You can apply one or multiple conditions. When using multiple, they work together (AND logic). For example:

  • Only import calls with “Weekly” in the title and containing the “Budget” tracker

4. Apply Custom Goals

  • When setting up a rule, select the custom goals you want to use for scoring imported calls

  • This allows you to score discovery calls, cold calls, demos, and other types differently

5. Turn on the Coach (recommended)

Beyond per-call scoring, Yoodli's AI coach can check in with each rep on a recurring basis, covering all of their imported calls — not just one at a time.

When Coach notifications are on, each rep who had qualifying calls in the period gets a message (email and/or Slack) linking them into a conversation with their coach. The coach has analyzed all their calls from that period, so reps can ask how they're trending, where they keep getting stuck, and what to focus on next.

To turn it on (Organization Admin):

  • Go to Org Settings > Integrations and open your Gong integration (Manage)

  • Find Coach notifications and toggle it on

  • Choose a cadence — daily, weekly, or biweekly — and, for weekly/biweekly, the day it sends

  • Choose delivery: Email, Slack, or both

Notes:

  • The Slack option only appears once your org's Slack integration is connected — if you don't see a Slack toggle, connect Slack first

  • Reps only get a notification for periods where they had qualifying imported calls — no empty digests

Call Import Timing

  • Yoodli checks for new calls every 5 minutes

  • Only calls from the last 24 hours (at the time the integration is created) will be imported historically

  • After that, all future calls that meet your rules will be imported

  • Once a call is imported, it will not be re-imported if deleted

Limitations

  • Private calls in Gong are not imported. If a call is made private and being imported, it will need to be manually deleted in Yoodli.

  • Imports aren't keyed to the call owner — a call imports for each participant with a Yoodli account (matched by email), and a call with multiple Yoodli users creates a recording for each

  • Custom goal scoring does not work for self-recorded or single-speaker calls

  • Only one Gong integration per Yoodli organization is supported

FAQs

Do you bring in private calls?
No, private calls are not imported.

Do you bring in calls of users that aren’t in Yoodli?
Calls are imported when at least one participant on the call is a Yoodli user and the call meets the criteria of a rule. The recording is created for each Yoodli user on the call — participants without Yoodli accounts don't get one.

How quickly are calls available in Yoodli?
After Gong finishes processing (usually 5–10 minutes), Yoodli will check for calls every 5 minutes and import those that meet your rules.

Do speaker names carry over?
Yes. Unlike uploaded recordings, Gong imports include speaker identification.

Can I connect multiple Gong integrations?
No. You can only have one Gong integration per Yoodli organization.
