Review and improve roleplays with Suggestions

Use Suggestions to review an org roleplay, identify issues that could affect the learner experience, and apply recommended fixes with one click.

Suggestions reviews your roleplay before it goes live and flags unclear instructions, conflicting persona details, and other potential issues. It’s available to org admins and content creators while editing an org roleplay in the Roleplay Builder.

Each fixable suggestion includes a one-click fix, so you can improve your roleplay without rewriting sections yourself.

Before you start

Suggestions is available for org roleplays only. The option won’t appear when editing a personal roleplay.

Suggestions reviews your current draft, including any unsaved edits. Applying a fix updates the draft but does not save the roleplay. You’ll still need to save your changes when you’re done.

How Suggestions works

When you open the Suggestions panel, Yoodli’s AI reviews your roleplay and returns a list of recommendations ordered by importance.

Each suggestion identifies the sections it involves, such as:

  • Persona

  • Description

  • Context

  • Objections

  • Rubric

These sections appear as pills on the suggestion card.

There are two types of suggestions:

  • Fixable suggestions: Include a Fix button. Selecting it rewrites the affected sections for you.

  • Advisory suggestions: Explain something worth reviewing but don’t include an automatic fix. You’ll need to update these sections manually.

Fixes rewrite the entire section they target, not just one sentence. Review the updated content in the Roleplay Builder before saving. If the change doesn’t work for your roleplay, you may be able to undo it.

Get suggestions for your roleplay

  1. Open an org roleplay in the Roleplay Builder.

  2. Click Get suggestions in the builder header.

  3. Wait while Yoodli reviews the roleplay. The panel will display Preparing suggestions... while the review runs. You can click Cancel to stop the review.

  4. Review the list of suggestions. Each card includes a numbered title and pills showing the affected sections.

  5. Select a card to expand it. The builder will scroll to the first section involved, and the card will explain why the suggestion matters and show the recommended updates.

  6. Click Fix to apply the change, or click Reject to remove the suggestion from the list.

  7. Review the updated roleplay and save your changes.

After the first review, the header button changes from Get suggestions to Suggestions. A badge shows how many suggestions you haven’t fixed.

Closing and reopening the panel displays the same list. It does not start a new review.

Undo a fix

You can undo an applied fix as long as you haven’t manually changed the affected sections since applying it.

To undo one fix, click Undo on the applied suggestion card. This restores the affected sections to the content they had before the fix.

Once you’ve fixed every suggestion in the list, an Undo all button appears. Select it to revert all eligible fixes at once.

If you manually edit an affected section after applying a fix, the Undo option disappears. This prevents Yoodli from erasing your newer changes.

If two fixes update the same section, undo them from newest to oldest. Undoing the most recent fix will make the earlier fix’s Undo option available again.

Check your roleplay again after editing

Suggestions are based on the roleplay content that was available when you started the review.

If you edit the roleplay while the Suggestions panel is open, Yoodli displays this warning:

You’ve edited the roleplay. The existing suggestions may no longer match your latest changes.

Click Check again to review your current draft. This replaces the existing list, including suggestions you already fixed or rejected, and resets the suggestion count.

Check again is unavailable while a fix is being applied.

Reject a suggestion

Rejecting a suggestion removes it from the current list but does not change your roleplay.

Rejecting a suggestion also doesn’t prevent Yoodli from showing a similar recommendation the next time you run the review.

Save your changes

Applying or undoing a fix only updates your current draft. Suggestions never saves the roleplay automatically.

When you’re happy with your changes, save the roleplay the same way you would after making a manual edit.
