Move Programs Between Content Spaces

Learn how admins can move or copy programs between content spaces.

Written by Christian Bedoya

Organize and copy content

Admins can copy and move materials between different content spaces to keep programs and training materials organized across teams.

Roleplays, personas, custom goals, question banks, interviews, and programs appear in a table view where you can select one or more items. Once selected, you will see these options:

Duplicate creates a copy of the item in the current content space.

Copy to copies the selected item to another content space in your organization.

Move transfers the selected item to another content space and removes it from the original.

Delete permanently removes the selected item.

Moving programs between content spaces

Programs can be moved or copied between content spaces just like roleplays and goals.

When you move a program, the underlying roleplay steps, goals, and personas move with it.

  1. Go to Programs

  2. Click the ellipsis on the far right of the Program

  3. Select Move

  4. Select the Content Space you'd like to move the Program

  5. Click Move

How files behave when you move a program

Programs can include file steps, such as videos, audio, and documents. When you move a program that contains files, Yoodli will either move or copy those files depending on how they are used.

If the file is only used by that program, Yoodli moves the file to the new content space and removes it from the original content space.

If the file is also used by other content in the original content space, Yoodli copies the file to the new content space so the other content keeps working.

This keeps file libraries clean and helps prevent accidental data loss when you reorganize content.

Things to know

Moving a program preserves member progress, attempts, and historical data.

Only org admins, or admins of both the source and destination content spaces, can move programs between content spaces.

Global content is read-only. You cannot move organization content into the Global Content Space from this menu.
