Can't Sign In — Account Was Created with a Different Login Method

Troubleshoot sign-in issues caused by trying to log in with a different method than the one you originally used to create your account.

If you're unable to sign in to Yoodli, the most common cause is using a different login method than the one you originally signed up with. This guide covers the most frequent scenarios and how to fix each.

Signed up with Google or Microsoft, now trying email + password

If you originally created your account by clicking Sign in with Google or Sign in with Microsoft, your Yoodli account doesn't have a password. Entering an email address and password on the login page won't work.

Fix: Return to the Yoodli sign-in page and click Sign in with Google or Sign in with Microsoft — whichever you used originally. Sign in with the same account you used to create your Yoodli account.

Signed up with email + password, now trying Google or Microsoft

If you created your account with an email address and password, clicking Sign in with Google may create a separate new account — even if the email addresses are identical. You'll land in an account with no history or content.

Fix: Use the Email option on the sign-in page and enter your email address and password. If you've forgotten your password, click Forgot password to reset it via email.

Organization uses SSO (Okta, Microsoft Entra, etc.) and you can't sign in from the IdP portal

Yoodli supports SP-initiated sign-in only. This means sign-in must start at Yoodli, not from a tile in your identity provider's app portal (Okta dashboard, Entra MyApps, Google App Launcher, etc.).

Clicking a Yoodli tile directly from your IdP portal will fail with an error page.

Fix:

  1. Go to app.yoodli.ai directly in your browser.

  2. Click Sign in with [Your Company] — the SSO button — on the Yoodli sign-in page.

  3. You'll then be redirected to your company's identity provider to authenticate.

To bookmark Yoodli in your IdP portal: in Okta, create a Bookmark App; in Entra ID, use a Linked enterprise app; in Google Workspace, use a custom web link. All pointing to https://app.yoodli.ai.

If you don't see a company SSO option on the sign-in page, contact your IT administrator to confirm SSO has been configured for your organization.

Not sure which method you used?

Try the following in order:

  1. Search your email inbox for a message from [email protected] — the welcome or verification email may indicate how you signed up.

  2. If you joined Yoodli through an employer or school, check with your IT team to find out if SSO is enabled for your domain.

  3. Try each method on the sign-in page (Google, Microsoft, Email) using the email address you think you used to sign up.

Still locked out?

If none of the above resolves the issue, contact [email protected] and include:

  • The email address you believe is associated with your account

  • The sign-in method you think you used

  • Any error message you're seeing
