Mirror Member View

Learn how org admins can use Mirror Member View to see Yoodli from a member’s perspective.

Written by Christian Bedoya

Mirror Member View lets org admins see Yoodli from a specific member’s perspective. This helps you check assigned content, troubleshoot what a learner is seeing, and review the member experience before rolling out content to a group.

You are not signing in as the member. You are still using your own account, with a temporary view of the content available to that member.

Who can use this

Org admins can mirror members they have access to within their organization.

Content space admins and group admins do not have access to Mirror Member View.

How to start mirroring a member

Go to People > Members from the admin view.

Find the member you want to view.

Click the three-dot menu on their row.

Select View as this member.

Confirm in the dialog that opens.

Yoodli will switch you into that member’s view.

What changes in mirror view

When you mirror a member, you are temporarily added to the same groups as that member. This lets you see the roleplays, programs, learning materials, and question banks assigned to them.

A banner appears at the top of the page while you are mirroring. It shows that you are viewing Yoodli as another member and lists the groups connected to that view.

Anything you do while mirroring is still tied to your own account. Practicing a roleplay or starting a program will not affect the member’s analytics.

You will not see the member’s private data, including their recordings, dashboards, personas, or anything from Shared with me.

How to stop mirroring

Click Stop mirroring in the banner at the top of the page.

Yoodli will return you to your regular admin view and restore your original group access.

Mirror view may also end automatically if you are inactive or leave the page for an extended period.

Things to know

Loops are not currently supported in mirror view.

Mirror view is designed for checking the member experience, not completing work on a member’s behalf.

If you need to test assigned content without affecting a learner’s analytics, Mirror Member View is the cleanest way to do it.

FAQ

Can the member see that I’m mirroring them?
No. The member does not see an indicator when an admin is mirroring their view.

Can I see the member’s private recordings or dashboards?
No. Mirror Member View only shows assigned content. It does not give access to private member data.

Can I switch from one member to another while mirroring?
Not yet. Stop mirroring first, then choose another member from the Members page.
