Practice makes progress! One of the main ways your organization members can learn and grow with Yoodli is through Yoodli’s practice mode. As part of your organization you can customize the practice scenarios and experiences your members have to make sure it aligns to your organization’s needs.

Scenarios

Scenarios allow your craft customized training. You can customize your scenarios under the "Customize Practice" tab on the organization customization page. By customizing scenarios, organization members will no longer be able to access the default scenarios and personas and will only be able to access the ones you create and provide to them.

Yoodli provides a number of base templates to work off of to define your scenarios. To provide the best quality experience, please choose the one closest to the scenario you’re trying to build . If you can’t find a template that’s a close match please contact your Yoodli representative who can help you get setup.

Please follow the instructions in-product on how to customize each scenario. During this customization, remember these few key tips:

  • Name your scenario something that will make sense to your members at a glance

  • The more information and context you give the AI, the more accurate your members’ experience will be. Your members won’t see anything you prompt the AI with

  • Scenarios will only be available to groups you assign them to

  • You’re in control! Make changes to your scenario at any time

While creating your scenario you'll also get to choose how it ends - either allowing the AI or member to end the conversation, or requiring the member to end the conversation. We recommend allowing the AI to end the conversation as this will give the most realistic, immersive, and fun experience.

To share a scenario with members via a link, navigate to your created scenarios, click the “…” button, and Copy Practice Link. When a signed-up member clicks the link they will be directly taken to that scenario practice. If they are not yet signed up, they will be taken to that scenario practice after signing up.

Pitch Scenarios

The “Pitch” scenario is a special type of scenario meant for pitch certifications or competitions. Pitch scenarios appear as an option under “presentation” rather than “roleplay” as they’re focused on a single-speaker pitch rather than a conversation. As part of this focused use case, Pitch scenarios also support a “target time” goal as part of their rubric which grades members on if their pitch is the right length (ignoring any AI follow up questions the user chooses to do.)

Pitch scenarios can be created and managed just like any other scenario. As they appear as part of presentation, members will not necessarily interact with their AI partner unless they choose to. The AI Q&A will still be used to power the speech analysis follow-up questions feedback even if a user doesn’t start the interactive Q&A mode.

Personas

Create custom personas for your members to practice with. Choose their role, voice, demeanor, and add background information you would like the AI to draw from. Admin can assign these personas to scenarios as a default, and members can choose from the list of personas admin create.

As admin, you can create and manage personas from the Personas tab under “Customize Practice.”

Interview Banks

Interview banks are named sets of interview questions that users in your hub will see instead of the default question bank. You can create up to 5 interview banks within an organization, each of up to 20 questions.

Each interview bank can be shared across groups in the same way as Courses and Welcome Video. To manage the interview banks within your organization, go to your organization settings page and click the “Customize Practice” tab

Users will see these branded question banks in sections when choosing custom interview questions by clicking the "pencil" icon next to the question list.

That will open the question bank, showing the added question sorted by bank.
