This article explains some limitations of the “Hide from screen share” feature of the Yoodli Desktop App for Mac.
Microsoft Teams desktop app
The Microsoft Teams desktop app works as expected. Yoodli Desktop App is hidden from screensharing if the relevant setting in Yoodli is enabled.
Browser based meeting solutions, such as Google Meet
Apple Safari and Google Chrome do not properly hide the Yoodli Desktop app when the entire screen is shared. As a workaround, we recommend you share an individual window or a browser tab instead of the entire screen.
Zoom desktop app
The Zoom desktop app does not consistently hide the Yoodli Desktop App with its default configuration.
To fix this:
In Zoom’s desktop app, navigate to preferences (Settings) > Share Screen > Advanced menu.
Select either “Capture with window filtering” or “Advanced capture with window filtering”.
